One week until my Family Medicine rotation comes to an end...BIG sad face.
The last 3 weeks have been such a refreshing change compared to surgery. First of all, the physicians actually listen to me instead of assuming I can't form original thoughts on my own. Secondly, I looove the babies. Lastly, I think it's cute when the little old ladies appear so totally confused when I walk into the room; after explaining to them that I am a medical student and not their "new doctor," they decide to like me and tell me their life stories.
Bring me your diabetes, your high blood pressure, your anxiety and depression. Your sprains, your well child checks, your STDs and menopause. Your H1N1, your back aches, your sports physicals and your birth control. Rashes. Moles. I've got you.
